Virginia BCIA is a state organization formed in January 1955, which belongs to the Beef Improvement Federation (BIF) – the national organization dedicated to advancing and coordinating all segments of the beef industry primarily through connecting science and industry to improve beef cattle genetics.

Virginia BCIA Bull Tests and Sales
Virginia BCIA coordinates and manages bull development at two locations (Culpeper and Southwest Virginia), and hosts two sales annually. These bulls are consigned by BCIA members from Virginia and surrounding states. The Virginia BCIA bull tests and sales provide performance testing and marketing opportunities for breeders, and have a strong reputation as a source of proven, dependable genetics.

Educational Programs
Virginia BCIA conducts and supports educational programming in the area of beef cattle genetics and management.

Partnership with Virginia Cattlemen’s Association
Virginia BCIA is an Affiliate member organization of the Virginia Cattlemen’s Association (VCA), and therefore, Virginia BCIA members can join the VCA at a reduced rate of $30 annually. Virginia BCIA members can only receive this discount through this membership renewal.
